Pantone Colour of the Year 2020

Pantone has just announced their colour of the year 2020 and its ‘Classic Blue’

The shade of blue which looks like a brighter navy, is a stark contrast to last year’s ‘Living Coral’ but a welcomed change none the less. The vice president of Pantone, Laurie Pressman describes their unusual choice as “a reassuring blue, full of calm and confidence. It builds connection.” According to pressman, Pantone felt that the colour would bring about a sense of calm and consistency in a world that is currently fast-paced and stressful.
